The short version

Abbelo is run by Abbelo LLC, a company based in Arizona. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not to be hidden behind legal language.

The short version is this. To make the app work for you, we save three kinds of things: the information you give us when you sign up, the things you create and do inside the app, and the small amount of payment information we need to charge you. That is it.

We do not sell your information, and we never show your private sessions to anyone else. You are always in control: you can download everything we hold about you from Settings, and you can delete your account, along with the data tied to it, whenever you want.

One promise sits above everything else on this page: we protect your data and your freedom, and your data is only ever used for good, to help you reach your goals. The next section spells that out.

Our promise to you

Everything we save exists for one purpose: to help you become the person who reaches your goals. That is the test every feature has to pass. If a use of your data does not serve your progress, we do not do it.

We treat your data and your freedom as things to protect. Your sessions, your brain, your goals, and your progress belong to you. We will never use them to manipulate you, to hook you, to advertise to you, or to profit from you in ways you did not agree to.

You are always free: free to see everything we hold about you, free to take it with you, and free to delete it all and walk away. Your data works for you, and for no one else.

Information you give us

When you create an account we save your email address, a securely hashed version of your password (we never store the password itself), and the name you give us. If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple instead, we receive only the basic details those services share with us: your name, your email, and a link to your profile picture.

On your profile you can add a username, a short bio, a profile photo, links to your social accounts, and a setting that controls whether your public page is visible to people who do not follow you. All of this is optional, and you can change or remove any of it at any time.

If you create a program as a creator, we also save the program's name, its description, the sessions inside it, any source files you upload, and the settings you choose. This is the content that makes your program run for the people who take it.

Information we save from what you do

As you use Abbelo, we save what you do inside it so the app can show you your history and get more useful to you over time.

Voice sessions: we save the words that were spoken, how long the session lasted, and the short summary Abbelo writes afterward, so that you and Tessa can look back on it. Your brain: as you talk to Abbelo, we slowly build a private picture of your patterns, the themes you keep returning to, and the commitments you make. Abbelo reviews your sessions and turns them into a private read of where you are, the patterns it notices, and the commitments you make. When you first join, Meet Abbelo helps you put words to where you are and the goals you want, and we save those goals so the app can measure your progress against them.

The rest is the ordinary record any app keeps so it can work: which programs you joined and which sessions you finished, the posts, replies, likes, and saves you make in the Feed, the messages you exchange in Chats, anything you write in Notes, and your goals, streaks, daily checks, and reminders.

If you share Abbelo with others or earn money as a creator or affiliate, we also save who joined through your link, what you have earned, and the payout account we use to pay you. When you delete your account, all of this is deleted along with it.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit Abbelo, we automatically receive some basic technical information from your browser or phone: your IP address, the browser or app you are using, your language, the page or link you came from, and which pages you opened inside Abbelo.

We use this to keep the app secure, to detect and stop people who break the rules or abuse the service, and to understand how the app is actually being used so we can improve it.

We also store a small amount of information in your browser so that you stay signed in between visits and your settings stick. If you clear your browser data, you will be signed out and those settings will reset to their defaults.

How we use your information

We use what we save for one reason: to make the app work for you. That means signing you in, showing your feed and your chats, writing your Tessa read, and generating the answers you read and hear.

It also means sending the weekly Tessa email and any other emails you opted into, charging you for your plan, paying creators and affiliates, keeping the service safe from abuse, fixing crashes and bugs, and deciding what to build next.

We do not use your information for unrelated advertising, and we do not build profiles of you to sell to anyone. Everything we do with your data points back to running and improving the app you are using.

AI and your information

Your chats and the picture your brain builds are used to make Abbelo personal to you. Tessa, your voice sessions, and the suggestions the app makes all draw on this so the coaching gets sharper the more you use it.

To generate responses, we send your messages and session content to our AI provider. Under the terms we use, they are not permitted to use your content to train their general public AI models.

We do not sell your information. We may use aggregate numbers that do not identify anyone, such as how many people finished a given program, to improve the app and to help creators understand what is working. We never show a creator what any individual person said in a session.

When we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We only share it with the service providers that help us run the app, and only the specific parts they need to do their job.

We will share information when the law requires it, when a valid court order or legal request compels it, or when we genuinely need to in order to enforce our terms, investigate abuse, or protect the safety of our users or the public.

If Abbelo is ever acquired by or merged with another company, your data may transfer as part of that deal, but it stays protected under the same promises we make on this page.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is open, so the app can show you your history and keep working the way you expect.

If you delete your account in Settings, your profile, sessions, brain, notes, chats, posts, and other personal records are removed from our main systems within 30 days.

We may keep a small amount of payment or transaction information for longer when a tax, accounting, or legal rule requires it, and we may keep aggregate statistics that no longer identify you.

Your choices and rights

You can review and change your profile and settings at any time in Settings.

You can download a complete copy of your data from Settings, under Export Your Data. The file includes your profile, settings, notes, feed posts, voice session details and summaries, brain information, the programs you joined, the programs you created, your sharing activity, and who you follow. You can delete your account from Settings, under Delete Account.

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, or another place with privacy laws, you have additional rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or object to how we use your information. Email us to exercise any of these, and we will respond within the time the law allows.

Where your information is stored

Our primary servers are in the United States.

If you use Abbelo from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own.

By using Abbelo, you consent to this transfer and processing.

How we keep your information safe

Your data is encrypted while it travels across the internet. Access to the database is set up so that you can only read and change your own records, not anyone else's.

Your card details never touch our servers. Payments are handled entirely by a secure payment processor that specializes in keeping that information safe.

No system is perfect, and no one can promise absolute security. If you think someone has gained access to your account, change your password right away and email us so we can help.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the app evolves and as the law changes.

When we make a significant change, we will email you or post a notice inside the app before it takes effect, so you have a chance to review it.

The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent update.
